Oradia, Romania

Rob's surgery went well and on May 20, 2014 we left for Oradia, Romania. We landed in Bucarest, Hungary on May, 21, 2014 and made it to the Care Center by 5:00 p.m John and Simona Sas picked us up from the air port this was the first time we met them. They are a precious couple and we have enjoyed getting to know them. They have two children, Mattie and Clarrisa ages 2 and 6. Simona is the secretary here at the Center. Her stepdad, Vasille is the maintnence personnel here and then is Alina who does the cleaning of the offices. Everyone has been so nice and have made us feel so at home.

Rob still had the drain in that was put in due to his axillary lymph node system being removed. It was two more weeks after we got to Romania before he removed the drain himself. Rob said we are going with or without the drain and God has taken care of him.

We have gotten settled in and have been taking a class twice a week in Romanian language. God has opened up that door as it is a free class. We were able to buy a refrigator for the dormatory now apartment to make it perfect for setting up housekeeping. We are on the top floor with a terrance very nice with the sun and light coming in. The temperature is nice no humidity. We love having a coffee there every morning.

We were sorry to see Iulian and Felician leave. They left for Chicago two weeks after we got here. Please keep them in your prayers. They will be pastoring a church in Chicago and have left their families here and I know it will be sad to be apart. God will help them and God is helping us. We miss our children but Skype is the next best thing to seeing them. Thank the Lord for technology. Blessings for now. Cheryl
